Care without compromise.
I’m Dr. Saba Maroof, a double board certified Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist. Originally from North Carolina where I went to UNC (Go Tarheels!) I have lived in the Metro Detroit area since the early 2000’s, and it is here I received my medical education at Wayne State University and my residency in Psychiatry at Henry Ford and fellowship at DMC/Children’s Hospital. I have had an enriching 15 years practicing psychiatry in various settings across the area, including helping start free mental health care in Detroit and over a decade at Rivers Bend in Troy.
Now I am choosing an out of network model where I hope to have the freedom to spend more than 15 minutes with you to actually know you - your history, your family, your work, what keeps you up at night…
Choosing a direct pay practice means you are investing in a different model of care - one where your appointments have enough time to matter.
For patients who want thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care, this model makes it possible.

Meet Dr. Maroof
“As a dual board-certified psychiatrist, I believe mental health care should feel thoughtful, collaborative, and steady. My approach combines a careful evaluation with evidence-informed treatment, always grounded in respect for your experience and cultural context.
I work with children, adolescents, adults and families navigating the complexities of life and emotions. My aim is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported in making decisions about your mental health. I utilize evidence informed care, infused with cultural understanding and integrative medicine - addressing nutrition, physical activity, spirituality, social support, and your passions - because these are all dimensions of your life that make you YOU.”
